We want to bring you the best metal bands that the UK has to offer, so we spend our time outside of putting together our gigs, seeking out the next top quality acts that you have to see.
Below, you will find some of the acts we have had the fortune to have grace the Pandemonium Club stage, as well as some of the bands that we think are well worth a listen.
Based in Guildford, Surrey, five-piece melodic metal band Orestea formed at the end of 2008.
Their hard graft approach and down-to-earth work ethic saw them self-release their debut EP, 'Shadows Of Yesterday', within their first year and head out on the road touring extensively in the UK. Quickly establishing themselves as a powerful live act with a modern sound the band soon found themselves in demand with crowds at some of the most prestigious festivals, and were invited to perform at both Download and Bloodstock, amongst others.
October 2010 saw the release of 'Love Lines & Blood Ties' - a full length album that built on the success of their debut. The new album, recorded by Mike Curtis (InMe, Forever Never) and mastered in New York by Alan Douches (Mastodon, Converge, Ben Folds Five) brought a new maturity to the song-writing on display, while maintaining the energy and dynamism of a young band in touch with their audience. Displaying a level of professionalism seldom seen on a debut album, 'Love Lines & Blood Ties' brilliantly showcases their remarkable diversity and heavy intensity and was soon picked up for a Japanese release by Spinning Records.
Following a year touring in support of their album, Orestea were joined in December 2011 by Jack Slade, drummer for US-based Dangerous New Machine. Hard-working and enthusiastic as ever, they immediately set about writing their brand new E.P ‘This Is An Overture’ (released September 2012) which sets the stage for a second, full length album in 2013.
