Bands

We want to bring you the best metal bands that the UK has to offer, so we spend our time outside of putting together our gigs, seeking out the next top quality acts that you have to see.

Below, you will find some of the acts we have had the fortune to have grace the Pandemonium Club stage, as well as some of the bands that we think are well worth a listen.

Training Icarus

Fronted by the staggering female vocal talents of Leigh Turner and taking influences from a range of music from Nightwish and Iron Maiden through to Jean Michel Jarre and Rammstein, TI's unique, captivating sound has steadily led them to where they are today - huge melodic vocals, the soaring guitars of Martin Eldon with synth backing along with the crunching bass of Leigh's brother Jayson and old school rock drums of Martin's brother Richard.

In 2011 Training Icarus won the Kent Metal to the Masses event which led them to a slot at Bloodstock alongside the likes of Hammerfall, Hell, Wasp and Exodus winning rave reviews and have also gigged with the likes of Blaze Bailey and Tesseract.

The live performance is to be both seen and heard to be believed and it is now time for them to take things to a whole new level both live and with the impending recording of the 'Stand Aside' album.

"Potential is something that often struggles to be recognised, but it is certainly something that shines through in Stand Aside, the debut album from Training Icarus. Originating from Plumstead but drawing inspiration from the Scandinavian end of the epic melodic metal spectrum, Training Icarus certainly tick all the requisite boxes.

We're suckers for a good female vocal delivery here at CackBlabbath, and vocalist Leigh has the range of to deliver everything from hushed and breathless to full on Anette Olzon-esque highs with equal power and passion. That's not to say that the rest of the band are any slouches either, delivering a crisp polished performance full of soaring guitars, emotional solos and all built on the foundation of a tight, precise rhythm section." - Cack Blabbath

Triaxis

Triaxis are a heavy metal band from South Wales. Formed in 2006, they self-released their debut full-length album Key To The Kingdom in 2009 to critical acclaim, including plaudits from Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Zero Tolerance as well as coverage and praise from many leading music websites. They have also made numerous radio appearances, including airplay on Bruce Dickinson's BBC Rock Show.

After headline grabbing sets at Bloodstock Open Air in 2009 and Hammerfest III in 2011, the band has continued to gig extensively across the UK. Triaxis have recently finished recording their second album at Foel Studios, under the watchful eye of producer Chris Fielding (Primordial, Electric Wizard) and are currently mastering the finished product.

"When you walk in the footsteps of giants like Maiden and Priest, you better bring your A-game, and as you can hear from our exclusive preview of new song 'Sand and Silver', that's just what Welsh band Triaxis are bringing to the table with their forthcoming second album. - Terrorizer"

"A genuinely creative spark and passion... bringing to mind classic Priest, mid-era Megadeth and Testament, intricately woven together with a taught melodic thread" - Zero Tolerance

"A big hit at Bloodstock Festival... far too good to languish in self-sufficient obscurity. Vocalist Krissie has the range and melodic intelligence of Heart's Ann Wilson, but with more than a dash of Dio's dramatic power" - METAL HAMMER
